Looking for a special venue to have your child’s birthday party? Look no further than The Play Space! We host birthday parties for children turning 6 and under.
After Hours Birthday Party includes exclusive use of the Play Space. The Play Space is not open to the public for play during an After Hours Birthday Party.
Please call to reserve your party: 315-252-5541 during business hours Tuesday through Friday. On weekends please leave a message and we will return your call.
After hour parties include use of the Play Space for a 2 hour birthday party. Children play first in the Play Space and birthday festivities follow in the party room. There is a maximum of 20 children and 40 persons total allowed.
Saturday party is from 3:30-5:30.
Sunday parties are from 10:00-noon, 1:00-3:00 and 4:00pm-6:00pm (April-June)
(July & August) Sunday parties from 4-6 are dependent upon staff availability.
Fees
A non refundable deposit of $75 is required to reserve your party date.
$225 is the cost of an After hour Birthday party for 40 people/20 children max
As the Birthday party host you will Provide:
All food and utensils. Food storage, preparation or warming is not available.
Party decorations including table covers and table top decorations. No glitter filled balloons. Please do not put decorations on the walls or hang from the ceilings. No Piñatas please. (Please keep it simple as set up / clean up time is very limited.
Glass containers, alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Encouragement to your guests to follow Play Space and party guidelines including to help clean up the play area during /after play time, with lots of help from Play Space Staff. All food and beverages must be enjoyed in the party room only.
No crock pots or cooking/warming appliances
Play Space will provide:
A large private room decorated with bright colored paper lanterns and a large Celebrate! wall banner
Child size tables and chairs for 20. Additional adult chairs 3 large tables for food and gifts. A staff member to help with set up, and clean up.
All parties begin with play. Adult supervision is required in the play area. A ratio of one adult for every 4 children while in the Play Space is recommended You may have up to 90 minutes in the play area. There is a five minute group clean up before children begin the birthday party activities in the party room. Children cannot renenter the play area at this point as we use this time to sanitize the area.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due to confirm your reservation(beginning April1 , 2024 the deposit will increase to $75) Please call the Play Space 315-252-5541 during business hours on Tuesday through Friday. During the weekend leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can. A reservation is confirmed only when the deposit is made.

How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?
Birthday party’s book quickly reserve early.
Is there a deposit required?
A non-refundable, non-transferable $50.00 deposit is due at time of reservation. this will increase to $75 beginning April 1, 2024
When do I have to pay for my party?
The deposit is to be paid at time of reservation. The remainder is due prior to the party.
Will someone be there to assist me during my party?
Staff will be available while you are at the Play Space and will be able to assist with keeping track of time and assist with any questions.
If I decide to bring my own food, is there somewhere to store it?
There are limited food storage facilities available. We can refrigerate items for you. Warmers, crock pots, microwaves are not permitted.
What items are not permitted in the museum?
Glass containers, alcoholic beverages, limited decorations
What if I am running late or my guests arrive late?
Parties start promptly at your designated party time. Many Play Space staff volunteer their time so please advise your guests to arrive on time and respect scheduled end time.
When can I get into the Play Space to set up?
30 minutes prior to the start of your party you may arrive to set up.
Can adults where shoes in the Play Space? To keep the carpets clean we do not allow shoes in the play area. However adult shoe covers and extra socks are available.
